If we take out the subjects studied in the courses, then we find several subjects lying in series. But what remains a topic of discussion in terms of difficulty in passing and scoring amongst the various subjects, then it is obviously Physics. Therefore, it becomes important to discuss the subject briefly.
Following are the golden rules which when get followed, it will help you succeed in Physics.
Erecting a Strong Foundation:
A Strong foundation guarantees that you grasp all the generalities and that you are aware of the various contexts in which they might be used so that you can determine which thought you must recall to respond to a particular topic. Also, numerous questions on the Physics Test in- depth understanding of the revise what you formerly have learnt first before starting a new chapter. You should always start with the modification of the formerly learnt chapters. After that you should move on to a new topic. This will enable you to remember your fully-understood topics for a longer period. Supporting generalizations and superficial facial literacy won't be helpful because the devil is in the details. To fully understand the generalities, use the book and additional resources your teacher has contributed.
Learn how to Derive Simple Equations:
Understanding why these equations function is completely different from simply knowing your basic equations by heart. Attending Class Lectures:
This is the most important tip which I would like to suggest to you. Some so-called scholars believe lectures aren't necessary because those subjects may be learned through independent study as well. But allow me to remind you that these are the only subjects that, due to a lack of time, we typically forget about in the final hours of our preparation. So it's always recommended to students not to skip the class lectures as they will form the introductory understanding of nearly every content you have in your IB syllabus.
Making Class Notes:
This is my recommendation for you to make class notes religiously. Your ability to write a whole syllabus in your own handwriting will benefit from doing this. Also, writing down the same material that the teacher is coaching can help the material stick in your head better when you are writing in class during lecture. These lecture notes might be useful when making your final preparations.
Prepare a Sheet of the Most Important Topics as Directed by the Class Teacher or Seniors:
There is always a raw guidance either through your teachers or seniors by your side who will mark you the most important topics from the exam point of view. So those will be the topics which need to be covered even before you start your preparation. This will reduce the pressure when you look at the syllabus and some of the topics which have a high probability to come in exams have already been covered.
Getting a Study Group:
One of the most effective ways to learn and study is among peers. Working in a group allows you to take advantage of everyone's unique qualities and abilities. As you get to explain or discuss the content with your peers, working with others helps you better digest the concepts and material covered in class.
Practice Previous Years and Sample Paper Questions:
Once you have a firm grasp of the generalities in a content, practice questions related to that content from the text and once IB Physics papers. It's important to exercise questions from at least the last 10 test papers to get exposed to the different kinds of questions that can be asked from that content. Analyze each paper before moving on to the coming one, and compare your answers with the marking scheme. Take note of points that are missing in your answers, and be sure to include them when you answer a similar or interrelated question in the main exam.
Exercise, exercise, exercise! Your success in physics depends on your ability to solve problems, and the best way to get ready is to practice. The more practice problems you complete, the more thoroughly you comprehend the subject.
